It took a little time to get year 2 of the Dyestatmetro T-shirt contest started but here we go.
Each week during the 2009 - 10 season check the front page of DyestatMetro for a new chance to win a DyestatMetro T-Shirt. Each week we will post a new trivia question or prediction question and the person who gets it right will win a DyestatMetro T-shirt. The rules are simple:
1- Email in your answer to metroresults@gmail.com - be sure to include your name and home town 2- Place the contest name – example Week 1 – in the subject line of your e-mail 3- Only 1 entry per person per week
Winners name will be posted on Sunday after the weekend's meets

Week 6 Contest - Final XC contest - (Entries must be recieved by Midnight (EST) Friday December 11th ) The final XC race of the 2009 season will be the Foot Locker Championships in San Diego, Ca. There will be 12 Metro area runners heading to Balboa Park for a run at a national title. This weeks contest will be a little different. You have to guess the place of the top Metro (NY-NJ-CT) runner in both the boys and girls race - then add that together for a score - Send in what you think that score will be. So If you think the top metro girl and boy will be 1st and 5th place overall then you would send in a score of 6pts. The tie breaker will be a random selection of correct answers
Week 5 Contest - (Entries must be recieved by Midnight (EST) Friday December 4th ) The NXN Finals has seen a full range of winning times from 15:14 last year on a dry course a mud bath run in 2006 with a winning time of 16:27. So this weeks contest will be to predict the winning time of the Boys Championship race featuring the Rosa brothers, Elias Gedyon, Zachary Wills, and Parker Stinson to name a few (full list of entries). Before you send in your guess be sure to check to see what the weather will be like in the days building up to the race and on race day. Week winner Zach Hildenbrandt (Clifton Park, NY)
Week 4 Contest - (Entries must be recieved by Midnight (EST) Friday November 27th ) The Foot Locker NE regional for the 1st time will be headed out of Van Cortlandt Park and will move to Sunken Meadow on Long Island. Even though the meet moved it is sure many of the best runners from Maine to Maryland will be fighting for qualifying places for the National meet in San Diego. This weeks contest is easy - predict the number of Metro runners (NY - NJ - CT) - combined boys and girls - who will qualify for the Foot Locker National Championships to be held on 12/12. The tie breaker will be a random draw - Week 4 winner Kevin Liang (Waterford, NY)
Week 3 Contest - (Entries must be recieved by midnight (EST) Friday November 20th ) The boys team battle at the New Jersey Meet of Champs could be a barn burner with four teams in the hunt for the crown. West Windsor Plaisnboro North is the defending champ and had the top team time at last weeks NJ Group Champs. Don Bosco Prep upset the #1 team in NJ and the NE at the time CBA at Groups. Haddonfield also took a team crown at Groups and has been on top of the State rankings this season. And then there is CBA who never be counted out. The Colts have won the Easterns this year, beating both DBP and Haddonfield. This weeks contest will be a simple prediction - guess which team takes home the boys team titlle at this weekends NJ Meet of Champs. - for a tie breaker be sure to include what the winning point score will be in the boys race. - Week 3 winner John Clinton (Ramsey, NJ)
Week 2 Contest - (Entries must be recieved by midnight (EST) Friday November 13th ) It is not a secret that New York is a hot bed of girls cross country. As runners from across the Emipre State head to Plattsburgh for the NYSPHSAA Champs, all eyes will be on girls races to see how some of the best runners in the USA preform. This weeks contest will be a simple prediction - guess what the fastest overall time among the girls runners at the NYSPHSAA Champs this weekend will be. As a point of reference Aisling Cuffe ran a fast 17:22 on the Plattsburgh layout back in September at the “Pre-State meet”.- Week 2 winners - Aileen Grogan and Brandon Penn
Week 1 Contest - (Entries must be recieved by high noon (EST) Friday November 6th ) The Connecticut State Open Championships kicks off the state meets in the Metro region and we will use this opportunity ot kick off our contest. This weeks contest is easy - predict the individual winner of the CT Boys State Open Race. The tie breaker will be who is closest to the winning time (last weeks best time at the Divisional Championships on the same Wickham Park course was 16:03) - Week 1 winner Luke Belval (Glastonbury, CT)
