Norwich Free Academy and Danbury girls battle back and forth in the opening track event teh 4 x 800 with Norwich getting the win in 9:26.10 to Danbury's 9:28.58
Hamden boys cruise to a win in the 4 x 800 crossing in 8:11.26. John Raneri got the stick for New Fairfield in 7th at the last hand off and moved up to 3rd just not able to overtake runner-up Glastonbury.
The USA's top 55 HH'er Rodrigo Souza (Old Saybrook) is the top qualifier in the prelims running 7.67. The wins the final in 7.55
Rachael Aliotta (Cheshire) continues to rule the shot put winning with a throw of 43' 9"
With 1 lap to go any one of 7 girls were still in the running to win the 1000, in the end Jackie Nicholas (Nonnewaug) gets tjhe win in 2:56.26 over Lindsay Crevoiserat (Glastonbury) 2:56.33. The boys 1000 was not as close as Chris FitzSimons (Hamden) sits just off the lead then expodes over the last lap for the win in 2:27.15 - a new meet record and under the state record and the #2 time in the USA in 2010
New Britian goes 1 -2 in the boys 600 with Robert White getting the wire to wire win in 1:22.94 and then comes back to lead a 1-2 in the 300 just ahead of 55 winner teammate Chris Linares. Paris Taft (Career) wins a tight girls 600 in 1:36.40
Four girls jump over 17' but it is Wahnetah Carty (Norwich Free Academy) who gets the win with a 17' 7"
Meg Ryan (fairfield Warde ) wins the 1600 pulling away over the last 800 crossing the line in 5:01.27
Matthew Jeune (Notre Dame) clears 6' 10 to win the high jump to tie the meet record
David Cotton (Hand) wins the unseeded section in 4:24.88 making the seeded heat to run hard and Stev Piscatelli (Weston) gets the win with a 4:17.17 with Nick Saba going from 4th to 2nd in the last lap to get important points for Hamden
Paul Chandler (Staples) clears 14' to win the vault
Simsbury avoids the rough and tumble of the seeded section and wins the girls sprint med relay in 4:17.67 over seeded heat winner Career's 4:17.82
Hamden hands off the baton at the last hand off in 3rd and Chris FitzSimons runs a 1:55 to cross the line 1st in 3;37.46
Lindsay Crevoiserat (Glastonbury) has a busy day 1st getting 2nd in the 1000, then 4th in teh 1600 and then ends her day with a win in the 3200 in 10:53.18
John Raneri (New Fairfield) goes through 1600 in 4:38.8 then closes in 4:31.9 to cross in a new meet record of 9:10.75 a US #3 to win the 3200. Raneri's time is faster than the standing CT Stae Record
Teyanna Green (Danbury) wins a sprint double earning gold in the 55 and 300
Bloomfield looked like a winner but Shayna Presley was not going to give up and comes from behind to give her Windsor team a win in a new meet record 3:59.20
With a 4 x 400 win New Britain wraps up the team title in the boys meet
Danbury girls win the final event on the track the 4 x 200 in a new meet record 1:42.14 to lock up the girls team title
